I have a 3-month visitor visa. Can I enter New Zealand without a return air ticket?
Your visa conditions explain if you need a return ticket or not. If you should have a return ticket and do not, find out what can happen.
Check your visa conditions
You must have a return ticket unless your visa says you do not need one. If you need a return ticket, we may refuse you entry or make you buy one when you arrive.
You do not need a return ticket if you:
- are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or
- already have a visa label or letter that says 'Return/onward travel not required' or 'The holder of this visa is sponsored'.
