National Occupation List occupations used for an AEWV or SPWV

The National Occupation List (NOL) groups jobs together into 'occupations' that have similar tasks and responsibilities. It will replace the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).

ANZSCO to be replaced

The NOL occupations in the lists on this page can be used for:

• Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) job check and visa applications from 3 November 2025, and
• Specific Purpose Work Visa (SPWV) applications between 8 September and 2 November 2025 — but only if you have an AEWV and will reach your maximum continuous stay on or before 30 November 2025.
