Easier travel from Australia to New Zealand for Pacific visitors
What you need to know about the changes to make it easier for Pacific visitors to visit New Zealand from Australia.
It is now easier for Pacific passport holders to visit New Zealand from Australia.
From today, people with passports from Pacific Islands Forum countries can visit New Zealand from Australia without a visa. Instead, they will be able to travel here with a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA), and stay for up to 3 months if they have a valid eligible Australian visa.
This is a trial for 12 months.
