Qualifications for Republic of Korea Special Work
To apply for a visa under the Republic of Korea Special Work Instructions, you’ll need to have the necessary qualifications and/or practical experience to work in an occupation that’s considered special work under the Republic of Korea Special Work Instructions.
- a Washington Accord accredited undergraduate engineering degree that is relevant to the job you’ve been offered
- a Bachelor of Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- a Bachelor of Food Science or an equivalent qualification
- at least 3 years’ industry work experience after you became qualified.
- the Korea Tourism Organization
- the Korea Tourism Association (entrusted by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
- a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or an equivalent qualificaiton
- New Zealand registration with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand.
You must have either:

You must have a Bachelor of Forestry Science or equivalent.
You must have a Certificate of Korean Language Teaching issued by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
You must have a Valid Tour Guide Licence issued by and registered with, either:
You must have at least 3 years’ specialised work experience in film animation.
You must have Taekwondo certificate that’s recognised by Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) as grade 4 or above.
You must have a Korean Medicine Doctor license issued by the Minister of Health and Welfare.
You must have a Bachelor of Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
