See also Immigration New Zealand's general requirements for obtaining a police certificate.
Go to the police certificates page on the ACRO Criminal Records Office website. The instructions for applying for the certificate are on the form.
Police certificates from the ACRO Criminal Records Office cover England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. All citizens and residents of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including those resident in Scotland) should apply through ACRO Criminal Records Office.
Note: if your police certificate states 'No Live Trace' this means that you have convictions that have been 'stepped down'. These convictions still form part of your criminal history and should be declared in any application you make to Immigration New Zealand.Note: As of 1 October 2009, the blue 'Subject Access Request' certificate issued under the Data Protection Act will not be acceptable.
