If you are a migrant worker you have the same rights as New Zealand workers, and it is a crime for employers to exploit you. We can help migrants who are being exploited.
People trafficking is the process of moving someone using coercion or deception or so they can be badly exploited. The movement can be entry to or exit from New Zealand, or the reception, recruitment, transport, transfer, concealment or harbouring of a person within New Zealand or another country.
Employers who receive employment standards-related sanctions will be placed on a list of non-compliant employers and be unable to support visa applications.
