V3.1 Group visas

  1. Group visas may be granted to groups of people who will be arriving in, and visiting New Zealand together, for the same purpose.
  2. Group visas should name each member of the group and be current for travel within one month of the applicants' intended date of arrival in New Zealand, unless the immigration officer considers the applicants' circumstances warrant a longer or shorter period.
  3. A leader must take charge of the group visa, and:
    1. present it on arrival with the passports or travel documents of the people named in it; and
    2. ensure that the group stays together as a single unit on arrival and completes all necessary arrival formalities.
  4. A leader may also be considered an international tour escort under V3.150.
