The Dunedin office closure is part of major changes across INZ's world-wide business as part of its Vision for 2015 to be recognised as a trusted partner, delivering outstanding immigration services and bringing in the best people New Zealand needs to prosper.
From now on, visa applications should be sent direct to our Christchurch Area office at 110 Wrights Road, Addington, Christchurch 8024.
Customers can obtain forms and information from the Immigration New Zealand website, and/or get in touch with the Immigration Contact Centre to discuss their individual case and the options available to them.
Forms will also be available at the Dunedin Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), Community House, Moray Place, Dunedin.
Dunedin-based customers can also submit their applications via a drop-box located at the Dunedin CAB.
The applications will be collected daily by a courier and delivered to Christchurch office for processing. CAB staff will not handle any applications, fees or documents.
Although not open to the public, Dunedin office staff will continue processing visa applications until the office closes permanently on Friday 27 February 2015. Any applications which remain undecided at that date will be transferred to the Christchurch office.
