We process most temporary entry visa applications for Thai nationals within 10 days. Please note that these times are subject to change depending on the type of application and our current workloads.

Where possible, you should allow four to six weeks for processing as applications can take longer if we need any extra information, if documents require verification, or if there is anything in a medical or X-ray certificate which needs to be followed up.

Please note the following:

• Bangkok branch is also a receiving office for visa applications from other countries.
• At times, applications accepted at Bangkok branch may be transferred to New Zealand. If an application is transferred, the client will be notified and advised that the processing times are likely to be longer than what is published on the Bangkok branch page. 
• Any application transferred back to New Zealand will be sent once a week, on a Friday, via a secure mail service.

Note: If your application is based on a partnership with a New Zealand resident or citizen it is likely that processing will fall into our four to six week timeframe.

Resident visa

• 87% processed within 15 days
• 91% processed within 30 days
• 100% processed within 60 days
