W2.1 Who does not need to apply for a work visa
People listed below do not need to apply for a work visa if they wish to work in New Zealand:
- New Zealand citizens; or
- holders of residence class visas; or
- holders of any other type of temporary entry visa whose conditions authorise the holder to undertake employment in New Zealand or within the exclusive economic zone of New Zealand.
