E2.55 Restriction on the grant of visas to Grace Mugabe, the wife of the late Robert Mugabe, former President of Zimbabwe

  1. Ordinarily, Grace Mugabe, the wife of the late Robert Mugabe, former President of Zimbabwe, may not be granted a visa (including a transit visa) or entry permission.
  2. Student visas may not be granted to the adult children of Robert or Grace Mugabe.
  3. Notwithstanding the above, where special circumstances exist (supported by cogent and reliable evidence) INZ may nonetheless grant a visa and entry permission to such a person.
  4. The decision to grant such a visa is limited to immigration officers with Schedule 1-3 delegations (see A15.5).
