WG6.40 Further work permits (16/10/2006)
  1. Crew members may be granted further permits for a maximum of 24 months from the date of first entering New Zealand, without having to provide further evidence.
  2. If further permits for a period longer than 24 months are needed, employers must apply for approval in principle again and meet the same requirements set out in this policy, to show that there are still no qualified and experienced New Zealanders available to do the work.

Note: Such applications may be made while the crew members in question are still in New Zealand.

Effective 16/10/2006
