WF4.5 Partners of holders of student visas who are funded by the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID) (29/11/2010)

  1. Partners of NZAID-funded students (see U11) who have an offer of employment and written approval from NZAID, may be granted a work visa valid for the duration of the offer of employment, but for no longer than the duration of their partner's NZAID scholarship.
  2. Evidence of an offer of employment is required but the offer of employment is not subject to a labour market test.
  3. Applicants must provide a completed work visa application form and fee and meet the generic requirements at E4.5(b)-(d).
  4. The visa may be subject to any or all of the conditions listed at W2.25.
  5. Partners of NZAID funded students (see U11), are not eligible for a temporary entry class visa in the 2 year period following completion of the NZAID student's scholarship, unless they have written approval from NZAID (with the exception of a short-term visitor visa).
