V2.25 Onward travel requirements (29/11/2010)

Applicants for a visitor visa are required to show evidence of the travel arrangements they have made to leave New Zealand at the end of their stay.
V2.25.1 Evidence of onward travel arrangements
- Immigration officers must be satisfied that visitors have provided evidence of either onward travel arrangements or sponsorship.
- Evidence of onward travel arrangements includes but is not limited to:
- actual travel tickets (confirmed or open-dated) out of New Zealand to a country which the person has right of entry to;
- (only for applicants on arrival in New Zealand) a visitor visa endorsed to show that the onward travel requirement has been met or waived;
- written confirmation from an airline or travel agency that onward travel has been booked and paid for.
- Sponsored applicants should provide a Sponsorship Form for Temporary Entry (INZ 1025) completed by their sponsor.
