Ireland – Technical Craft Related Qualifications

A qualification is exempt from assessment and qualifies for the indicated points if:

  1. the qualification is listed in the Technical Craft Related Qualifications Table; and
  2. the awarding body is listed in the Awarding Bodies Tables; and
  3. the qualification abbreviation is listed in the right-hand column in the Awarding Bodies Tables; and
  4. the qualification was awarded from or within the year range listed in the right-hand column in the Awarding Bodies Tables; and
  5. the qualification is not excluded by the notes listed under the Technical Craft Related Qualifications Table.

Institutes of Technology with delegated authority

The name of one of the Institutes of Technology will appear at the top of the award certificate.

Between 2005–2012 certificates stated that the authority to award was delegated by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC).

In December 2012 Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) replaced HETAC. On all awards from 2013–2015 ‘awarded by QQI’ will additionally appear under the HETAC logo.

From 2015 award certificates will state awarded by the authority delegated by QQI.
