South Africa - Trade Qualifications (25/07/2011)

Trade Qualifications

The following qualifications awarded by the institutions and bodies listed below qualify for the points indicated where the qualification is relevant to an occupation in Part B of the List of Skilled Occupations at Appendix 6:

Qualification

National Certificate (T1, T2, T3) awarded until 1994

One of the following qualifications and evidence of a completed Contract of Apprenticeship endorsed by the Registrar of Apprenticeship or Registrar of Manpower Training:

  • Advanced Technical Certificate awarded until 1980
  • National N4 Certificate
  • National N5 Certificate
  • National Technical Certificate Part IV
  • National Technical Certificate Part V

One of the following qualifications and evidence of a completed Contract of Apprenticeship endorsed by the Registrar of Apprenticeship or Registrar of Manpower Training:

  • National Technical Certificate part VI (must have evidence of holding National Technical Certificate Part V)
  • National N6 Certificate (must have evidence of holding National N5 Certificate)
