E4.70 Requirements for a person whose residence permit has been revoked

Immigration Act 1987 ss 20(4)(c), 25(1)(d)

  1. A person whose residence permit has been revoked, and who wants a temporary permit, must make application for a temporary permit before the date on which the revocation of the residence permit becomes effective, and satisfy immigration officers that they:
    1. have not appealed against the revocation, and
    2. have provided evidence of onward travel and maintenance and accommodation, and
    3. meet the policy requirements relevant to the type of temporary permit for which they have applied.
  2. A work permit may be granted for an appropriate period, provided that the applicant meets the policy requirements for a work permit (see WK).
