BF1 Principal applicants (01/04/2001)

1. Principal applicants for residence under the Business Immigration Policy must meet a minimum standard of English to ensure their English language ability is sufficient to assist them to successfully settle in New Zealand or pre-purchase ESOL tuition to the required level (see BA2.1.1).
2. Residence applications under the Business Immigration Policy must be declined if the principal applicant has not met the minimum standard of English or is not prepared to pre-purchase ESOL tuition.
