A8.15 Who may make a request under the Official Information Act

Requests for official information may only be made by:

  1. a New Zealand citizen; or
  2. a permanent resident of New Zealand (as defined under the Official Information Act 1982); or
  3. a person who is currently in New Zealand; or
  4. a body corporate incorporated in New Zealand; or
  5. a body corporate incorporated outside New Zealand that has a place of business in New Zealand.
