Note: The instructions contained in this section cease to be effective from 28 July 2022. Resident visa applications made before the date on which the instructions cease to be effective are subject to section 72(1) of the Immigration Act 2009 which requires that any decision in relation to resident visa applications made before the date the instructions cease to be effective must be made in terms of the instructions applicable at the time the application was made.
