Appendix 19 – List of seasonal occupations

This Appendix is part of Government immigration instructions as described in section 22 of the Immigration Act 2009.

The list of seasonal occupations is made up of two lists.

  • Global Workforce Seasonal Visa list
  • Peak Seasonal Visa list

Global Workforce Seasonal Visa

Occupation

Occupations are listed by ANZSCO (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations) and NOL (National Occupation List) code

Calf Rearer

Eligibility is limited to jobs that mainly require tasks relating to assisting with daily calf rearing to be performed. This may include:

  • feeding
  • administering mineral treatments
  • moving and handling animals safely and preparation for transport.

Relief Milker

Eligibility is limited to jobs that:

  • are on a dairy farm; and
  • are for the purpose of providing respite or relief to dairy farmers, or cover for dairy cattle farm workers who are on leave or injured; and

involve routine tasks on a dairy farm such as herding and milking cattle
