BD6.10 Evidence of transfer of capital investment and of purchasing and operating the nominated business

  1. Evidence of transferring investment capital to New Zealand through the banking system may include, but is not limited to:
    1. telegraphic transfer forms
    2. bank statements
    3. other documents, evidence and information which demonstrates the transfer of the capital investment to New Zealand.
  2. Evidence of purchasing and operating a business may include but is not limited to:
    1. audited accounts
    2. bank statements showing regular revenue and expenses
    3. documentation from the applicant’s New Zealand lawyer confirming the date the purchase of the business was completed, providing the final settlement statement for the transaction and the lawyer’s trust account statement recording the management of the applicant’s funds during the entire purchase instruction
    4. documents evidencing the constitution of the business (e.g. certificate of incorporation)
    5. employee records
    6. financial statements
    7. GST or other tax records
    8. invoices for business equipment and supplies
    9. property purchase or lease documents relating to the business' site
    10. the final sale and purchase agreement signed by all parties to the transaction
    11. other documents, evidence and information a business immigration specialist considers may demonstrate reasonable steps taken to purchase or operate a business (e.g. employment agreements, utility company invoices, sales agreements, contracts to provide products or services).
