WK2.5 Lodging a request for approval in principle to recruit overseas workers (to 04/07/2022)

1. Applications for approvals in principle to recruit overseas workers must be made on or before 30 June 2021 (see note).
2. Applications for approvals in principle must be made on the form ‘Request for Approval in Principle’ (INZ 1112).
3. A request for approval in principle must be accompanied by evidence that:
   1. the employment is acceptable (WK3.5); and
   2. there are no New Zealand citizens or residents available for the work (WK3.10); and
   3. the employer meets requirements (WK3.15).
4. To determine the remuneration level of the proposed employment, evidence must be provided of:
   1. the proposed remuneration; and
   2. the hours of work, or of the arrangements relating to the number of hours to be worked.

Note: Applications received on or before 30 June 2021 will continue to be processed. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.
