E2.3 Australian temporary visa holders to whom a temporary visa waiver applies (26/01/2015)

The requirement to hold a visa permitting travel to New Zealand is waived for the people who hold an Australian temporary visa of a kind specified in the table under E2.3.1, but only if:
1. the visa permits the person concerned to travel to, or stay in, Australia; and
2. the visa is valid at the time of check-in for departure to New Zealand; and
3. the person is only transiting New Zealand or is seeking a New Zealand temporary visa that is current for no more than 3 months; and
4. the purpose of the visit to New Zealand does not include medical consultation or treatment.
The visa waiver referred to in (a) will be in effect for the period beginning on 26 January 2015 and ending on 6 April 2015.
