Y5.10 Contact with immigration officers (29/11/2010)

1. In most circumstances, immigration officers will not have contact with transit passengers, who will be confined to the transit section of the immigration control area.
2. If a transit passenger makes themselves known to an immigration officer in order to claim refugee or protection status, the immigration officer must follow the procedures set out in Y6.
