V3.75 Department of Conservation volunteers (29/11/2010)
- Volunteers participating in the Department of Conservation's 'Conservation Volunteer' programme are not considered to be undertaking employment and may be granted a visitor visa and entry permission.
Note: The Department of Conservation may provide sponsorship by completing a Sponsorship Form for Temporary Entry (INZ 1025).
- V3.75(a) above does not apply to people from overseas who wish to undertake training attachments in New Zealand as part of their studies (see U4.20).
- Each year, the Department of Conservation must report the following information:
- the number of volunteers; and
- their length of stay in New Zealand; and
- the type of work they are or will be undertaking; and
- any significant developments regarding the entry of its volunteers to New Zealand; and
- any proposed changes to its volunteer programme.
