Principal applicants under the Long Term Business Category, Investor, Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur Plus, Employees of Relocating Businesses, General (Active) Investor, Professional Investor, and Investor 2 categories must meet a minimum standard of English to ensure their English language ability is sufficient to assist them to successfully settle in New Zealand.
Applications under all Business Immigration categories must be declined if the principal applicant has not met the minimum standard of English.
