E7.50 Health requirement for partners or dependent children not included in or withdrawn from a residence class visa application (30/07/2012)

  1. Applicants who are applying for a temporary entry class visa as the partner or dependent child of a New Zealand citizen or residence class visa holder; and who are required to provide a medical certificate, must provide a General Medical Certificate (INZ 1007) rather than a Limited Medical Certificate (INZ 1201) if they were:
    1. eligible for inclusion in the earlier residence class visa application made by their partner or parent, but were not included; or
    2. withdrawn from the earlier residence class visa application made by their partner or parent.
  2. If an immigration officer determines that the applicant does not have an acceptable standard of health they will not be granted a medical waiver (see A4.65(b)) despite being the partner or dependent child of a New Zealand citizen or residence class visa holder (see A4.65(d)).
