WI1 General rules

1. Applicants under International/Humanitarian work instructions must:
   1. meet the specific requirements for the International/Humanitarian work instructions relevant to their application; and
   2. meet the requirements under Generic Temporary Entry Instructions unless the International/Humanitarian work instructions relevant to their application exempts them from this requirement.
2. Where these instructions specify a limited number of places for a scheme or occupation, an application will only be accepted for lodgement if there are places available for the relevant scheme or occupation at the time the application is made.
3. If an immigration officer determines that an application was accepted for lodgement at a time when no place was available for the relevant scheme or occupation, the application lapses and will not be processed further.
4. Where an application lapses under these instructions, any application fee paid in respect of the application must be refunded to the person who paid it, or to a person authorised by that person to receive it.
