WH2.1 Working holidaymaker extension requirements and conditions (29/11/2010)

1. To be eligible for a three month visa under the Working Holidaymaker Extension instructions applicants must:
   1. be in New Zealand; and
   2. hold a current work visa granted under a Working Holiday Scheme; and
   3. have a return ticket to their home country or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket; and
   4. submit an application in the prescribed manner; and
   5. pay the appropriate fee; and
   6. not previously have been granted a visa (or permit under the Immigration Act 1987) under the Working Holidaymaker Extension instructions; and
   7. provide evidence to satisfy INZ that they have been employed for a minimum of three months to undertake seasonal work in the horticulture or viticulture industry during the currency of their current work visa (evidence may include, but is not limited to, letters from employers, wage slips, and/or IRD tax records).
2. Applicants are not required to provide evidence of a job offer.
3. Successful applicants will be granted a work visa under the Working Holidaymaker Extension instructions for three months, with the same conditions as the original work visa granted under a Working Holiday Scheme.

   Note: For the purposes of these instructions, the three months may include periods where the worker was employed but was unable to undertake work due to inclement weather or other factors. Employment does not need to be for consecutive periods, or for the same employer.
