E6.20 Sponsorship as a condition of a visa

  1. Where sponsorship is required by immigration instructions or imposed by an immigration officer in relation to a temporary entry class visa application, it is an ongoing condition of the visa granted to the sponsored person.
  2. If the sponsor fails to comply with the sponsorship undertakings, the sponsored person will be deemed to have breached the conditions of their visa and will become liable for deportation (see E3.60).
