SM20.15 Evidence of relationship to close family member (to 27/08/2017)

Note: The instructions in this section cease to be effective from 28/08/2017.

To obtain points for having a close family member in New Zealand, a principal applicant must provide:

1. birth certificates, which establish the relationship of the close family member in New Zealand to the principal applicant or their partner included in the application; or
2. evidence of adoption (see R3) which establishes the relationship of the close family member in New Zealand to the principal applicant or their partner included in the application.
