RV3.10 14-day variation of travel conditions

  1. Applicants must be granted a variation of travel conditions current for 14 days if they are in New Zealand as a resident and they:
    1. do not meet the requirements for a permanent resident visa; and
    2. do not meet the requirements for a variation of travel conditions for a longer duration.
  2. Applicants who would otherwise be prohibited from entry or for grant of a visa to New Zealand because they are subject to restrictions or a ban (see RA9 and R5.100) may only be granted variation of travel conditions for 14 days and only if they are in New Zealand.

Note: The 14-day period begins the day after the variation of travel conditions is granted and expires on the same day of the week that it is granted, a fortnight later.
