D3.5 Determining whether a person is in New Zealand unlawfully

  1. Once a person suspected of being in New Zealand unlawfully is located it is necessary to confirm both their identity and immigration status.
  2. The powers set out at D3.10.10 and D3.10.15 can be used to obtain both evidence of identity and immigration status as well as an address in New Zealand.
