WI4.75 United Kingdom Working Holiday Scheme (03/02/2003)

1. This scheme allows 9000 young citizens of the United Kingdom annually to be issued with work visas authorising employment for a maximum of 12 months.
2. To be eligible for a work visa under this scheme, applicants must:
   1. be British citizens resident in the United Kingdom at the time of applying, and
   2. satisfy the NZIS branch in London that their main intention for coming to New Zealand is to holiday, and that employment is an incidental reason for the visit, and
   3. have a minimum of NZ$4,200 available funds for maintenance.
