WI4.55 Malaysia Working Holiday Scheme (29/04/2002)

1. This scheme allows 100 young citizens of Malaysia annually to be issued with work visas, current for 3 months from the date of issue, authorising employment for a maximum of 6 months from the date of arrival.
2. To be eligible for a work visa under this scheme, applicants must:
   1. be citizens of Malaysia at the time of applying, and
   2. satisfy an NZIS visa or immigration officer that their main intention for coming to New Zealand is to holiday, and that employment is an incidental reason for the visit, and
   3. have a minimum of NZ$2,250 available funds for maintenance.
