WI4.35 Ireland Working Holiday Scheme (29/04/2002)

1. This scheme allows 1,000 young citizens of the Republic of Ireland annually to be issued with work visas authorising employment for a maximum of 12 months.
2. To be eligible for a work visa under this scheme, applicants must:
   1. be Irish citizens resident in the Republic of Ireland at the time of applying, and
   2. satisfy the NZIS branch in London that their main intention for coming to New Zealand is to holiday, and that employment is an incidental reason for the visit, and
   3. have a minimum of NZ$4,200 available funds for maintenance.
