- This is not current policy - |  WI4.15 Denmark Working Holiday Scheme (29/04/2002)This scheme allows up to 200 young citizens of Denmark annually from 1 February to be issued with multiple entry work visas, current for 12 months from the date of issue, authorising employment for a maximum of 12 months from the date of arrival.To be eligible for a work visa under this scheme, applicants must:be citizens of Denmark, ordinarily resident in Denmark at the time of application, andsatisfy the visa officer at the NZIS Branch in London that their primary intention is to holiday in New Zealand, with employment being an incidental rather than a primary reason for the visit, andbe aged between eighteen (18) and thirty (30) years, both inclusive, at the time of application, andnot be accompanied by children, andpossess a valid Danish passport, andpossess a return ticket, or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket, andpossess a minimum of NZ$4,200 available funds for their maintenance during the period of stay in New Zealand, andagree to hold medical and comprehensive hospitalisation insurance to remain in force throughout their stay in New Zealand, andpay the prescribed Working Holiday Scheme work visa application fee.
Holders of working holiday visas issued under this scheme:must not work for the same employer for more than three months, andmust not undertake permanent or long term employment unless they apply for and obtain a permit that enables this as provided by WI4.1.5, andmay enrol in one training or study course of up to 3 months duration during the course of their visit to New Zealand.
