WG6.25 Further work permits (29/04/2002)
  1. Crew members may be granted further permits for a maximum of 24 months from the date of first entering New Zealand, without having to provide further evidence.
  2. If further permits for a period longer than 24 months are needed, employers must apply for approval in principle again and meet the same requirements set out in the previous provisions, to show that there are still no qualified and experienced New Zealanders available to do the jobs.

Note: Employers may make such applications while the crew members in question are still in New Zealand.

Effective 29/04/2002
