V3.65 Conference delegates

  1. Organisers of conferences in New Zealand should contact the nearest New Zealand branch of the NZIS to ascertain the best means of facilitating the entry of overseas delegates to New Zealand.
  2. Immigration officers should consult with the Border and Investigation branch when considering applications for conference delegates to enter New Zealand and adopt a flexible approach when facilitating entry. If necessary, officers should consider giving or obtaining a special direction under section 14(D)(1) of the Immigration Act 1987, exempting such applicants from having to obtain a temporary visa.

Effective 26/07/1999
