U9.15 NZAID Short-Term Training Award (STTA) trainees

  1. The STTA scheme is part of the NZAID programme and provides partner governments with the opportunities to develop new competencies in identified areas of need as well as to upskill their work force. Training may involve placement with a New Zealand government department, a private sector provider, or at a tertiary institution. Trainees are provided with entitlements for accommodation and maintenance whilst on this scheme.
  2. Applicants providing evidence of an award under the STTA scheme may be granted a student permit for the period of their award up to a maximum period of 12 months.
