X1 Objectives

The objectives of the returning residents' visa (RRV) policy are:

  1. to protect the interests of New Zealand citizens and other people living permanently in New Zealand; and
  2. to encourage those granted residence to show a commitment to New Zealand; and
  3. to assist the government in border control.
