G4.20 Evidence of offer of employment (04/02/2002)
- Evidence of an offer of employment is original or certified copies of the following documents:
- a written offer of employment, and
- a detailed job description, and
- a letter from the employer stating whether or not any occupational registration is required by law for the to take up the position, and
- an employment agreement entered into by the employer and the principal applicant, stating:
- Additional evidence may include, but is not limited to:
- any information requested by the NZIS
- the results of any verification undertaken by the NZIS
- information from the employer or recruitment agency.
G4.20.1 Evidence of relevance of employment offer to qualifications or work experience
- Evidence that an offer of employment is relevant to the qualification(s) for which points have been awarded includes but is not limited to the following documents:
- an academic transcript or other documentation from the institution that issued the qualification(s) describing the content of the qualification(s), and
- a job description and/or 'ideal person specification' which demonstrates that the qualification(s) is a core requirement for the employment or that the knowledge acquired through the major subject area of the qualification will be directly used in the employment.
- Evidence that an offer of employment is relevant to the work experience for which points have been or may be awarded includes, but is not limited to the following documents:
- a job description and/or 'ideal person specification' which demonstrates that the work experience for which points have been or may be awarded is directly applicable to the employment offered and the offer of employment would not have been made if the applicant did not have that work experience, and
- job descriptions from previous employers detailing the type of work that was undertaken.
