SM20.1 Aim and intent
- To be granted residence under the Skilled Migrant Category, applicants must demonstrate that they have the ability to successfully settle in and contribute to New Zealand.
- The aim of assessing ability to settle and contribute is to ensure that the Skilled Migrant Category maximises the contribution that migrants make to New Zealand.
