WR6.5 Currency of Work to Residence visas and permits

  1. Applicants who are in New Zealand and who made their Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) application on or after 10 April 2007 may be granted a permit allowing a stay of nine months in New Zealand.
  2. Applicants who are not in New Zealand and who made their SMC application on or after 10 April 2007 may be issued a Work to Residence visa allowing three months from the date of issue to arrive in New Zealand. On arrival a permit allowing a stay of nine months may be granted.
