BB3.10 Evidence of business experience (26/07/1999)

BB3.10.1 Evidence of principal applicant's business experience as a business owner

1. Evidence of the principal applicant's business experience as a business owner includes original or certified copies of such of the following documents as are necessary to allow the business immigration specialist to make an appropriate decision:
   1. proof of ownership of business
   2. business registration
   3. company accounts or tax returns
   4. shareholder certificates
   5. description of responsibilities in the business.
2. The business immigration specialist may require such other photographs, documents, evidence and information as the business immigration specialist considers necessary to determine the application.

BB3.10.5 Evidence of the principal applicant's business experience as an employee

1. Documents submitted as evidence of the principal applicant's business experience as an employee must show the employer's name, the position held and the period involved.
2. Evidence of the principal applicant's business experience as an employee includes original or certified copies of such of the following documents as are necessary to allow the business immigration specialist to make an appropriate decision:
   1. references from employers,
      • on company letterhead, and
      • stating the occupation and dates of employment, and
      • giving the contact phone number and address of the employer
   2. letters of appointment
   3. certificates of service
   4. pay slips
   5. job specifications
   6. tax records
   7. job assessments
3. The business immigration specialist may require such other photographs, documents, evidence and information as the business immigration specialist considers necessary to determine the application.
4. Evidence of part-time work experience includes that listed in para. (b), but must show actual weekly hours worked.

BB3.10.10 Evidence of New Zealand business experience

Evidence of New Zealand business experience must include:

1. evidence of business experience as listed previously; and
2. evidence that New Zealand business experience was lawfully gained while holding a New Zealand work permit, or other lawful authority to work.
