A8.70 Requests from Members of Parliament

  1. A Member of Parliament (MP) may request official information from NZIS like any other person, and in most cases such requests will be dealt with under standard procedures.
  2. An MP may be exempted from charges for information if that information is likely to be used in the reasonable exercise of their democratic responsibilities as MP and not for private political purposes.
