- This is not current policy - |  BK8.35 Evidence of the principal applicant's active investment (26/11/2007)In the case of active investment, additional evidence is required that must include documentation from a reliable independent professional (for example, a solicitor or chartered accountant). For existing businesses, the following evidence must be provided: the date the shareholding in the business was purchased; and a full valuation of the business; and documentary evidence that demonstrates the operation of the business (eg, annual accounts); and the full name(s) of the business owner(s).
For new businesses, the following evidence must be provided: the date the business was established; and documentation demonstrating the establishment of the business; and the full name(s) of the business owner(s).
If the  has purchased a shareholding in, or has established more than, one business this information should be provided for each of the businesses. A business immigration specialist, at their discretion, may require any other form of evidence.
