WH2.1 Working holidaymakers requirements and conditions (26/11/2007)

1. To be eligible for a three month permit under the Working Holidaymaker Extension policy applicants must:
   1. be in New Zealand; and
   2. hold a current work permit granted under a Working Holiday Scheme policy; and
   3. have a return ticket to their home country or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket; and
   4. submit an application in the prescribed manner; and
   5. pay the appropriate fee; and
   6. not previously have been granted a permit under the Working Holidaymaker Extension policy; and
   7. provide evidence to satisfy INZ that they have undertaken a minimum of three months' seasonal work in the horticulture or viticulture industry during the currency of their current work permit (evidence may include, but is not limited to, letters from employers, wage slips, and/or IRD tax records).

      Note: The three months' seasonal work in the horticulture or viticulture industry does not need to have been undertaken consecutively, or for the same employer.

2. Applicants are not required to provide evidence of a job offer.
3. Successful applicants will be granted a work permit under the Working Holidaymaker Extension policy for three months, with the same conditions as the original work permit granted under a Working Holiday Scheme policy.
