Occupational registration for a Post Study Work Visa
If you are working towards registration with an authority on this list, you can apply for a further 1-year Post Study Work Visa to complete your registration.
If you have completed a non-degree level 7 or below qualification that is on the Qualifications Eligible for a Post Study Work Visa list, or a non-degree level 8 qualification, you may be able to get 1 more year on your Post Study Work Visa (to a max of 3 years total).
This applies if you are in the process of gaining registration or affiliate membership with:
- the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand, or
- the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
You must also be required to gain additional work experience to a max of 1 year, as part of the registration.
